Mike Rosenstein, former producer at Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Films launched his own production company
Sunset Rose Pictures to focus on producing artist-driven passion projects.
Founded in 2016, Sunset Rose has lined up projects with Netflix, A24, Paramount, Comedy Central, Viceland, Sundance, and FX.
Sunset Rose’s first project was Reggie Watts’ “Spatial”, a one-hour comedy special produced with A24 that is available on Netflix. Following that was “Portraits with Yung Jake” which Rosenstein executive produced alongside Spike Jonze and Kitao Sakurai, director of “The Eric Andre Show”.
Sunset Rose Pictures produced and financed “Have a Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics” with writer/director Donick Cary for Netflix. The comedic documentary stars an A-list cast discussing psychedelics and premiered as a Netflix original documentary on May 11th, 2020.
Sunset Rose’s next project will be “Eric Andre: Legalize Everything”, a one hour special produced with A24 that will be available on Netflix later this year.
